Fifteen years ago, The East Cut district was characterized by surface parking lots and light industrial land uses. Today, the district is experiencing a wave of development. This development reflects the legacy of roughly fifteen years of city planning efforts for the district.
SF Planning and The East Cut Community Benefit District are collaborating with neighbors, business owners, district employees, and visitors on a shared vision for the district through the South Downtown Design and Activation Plan (Soda). Since the kickoff meeting on August 2nd, we’ve engaged over 500 people in the process.
Today, we are excited to invite you to participate online. Simply click here and read what improvements people are already asking for in The East Cut district. Please support existing ideas or create your own. Give neighborhood feedback on what is working and what isn’t– we’re listening and want to hear from you.
