The Greater Rincon Hill CBD is thrilled to announce that the organization was awarded a Safe Speeds SF Campaign Community grant by the city of San Francisco! The Safe Speeds SF Campaign is a robust interagency effort, supporting Vision Zero SF, the city’s commitment to end traffic fatalities and moving the city towards safer street, safer vehicles and safer people.
The $14,000 grant will go towards reducing vehicle speeding through a series of creative interventions at the intersections of Fremont and Howard Streets and 1st and Howard Streets during the lunch-time hours February through June of this year. A GRHCBD core value is that a safe and well-maintained public realm is key to creating and maintaining a stable mixed-use District for the benefit of residents, workers and visitors alike.
Starting in February, visit this page for an update on grant implementation.
