Working To Make The East Cut District Safer and Brighter

As part of the Salesforce Transit Center project, permanent lighting along Clementina Alley and Tehama Alley between 1st and 2nd Streets was removed to accommodate construction activity. Unfortunately, as a result, The East Cut Community Benefit District (CBD) documented an uptick in illegal activity and homeless encampments along the alleys. Through coordination with the Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA), we are thrilled to share that temporary sidewalk lighting has been restored to Clementina and Tehama. Click here to see before and after photos. The CBD will continue to closely monitor this area and encourage the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) to restore permanent lighting to the area.
