100 First Terrace

100 First Street Sun Terrace is located along a block featuring several other open spaces at 560 Mission Street, 555 Mission Street, and Shaw Alley. The site is situated between and above Mission Street and Minna Street with an urban backdrop created by the Salesforce Transit Center’s facade. The POPOS has a variety of levels for seating with fixed and informal spaces. People here typically eat lunch, have phone conversations, relax and pass through to go to work. The space is accessible by a grand staircase from Mission Street or a small set of stairs from Minna Street. The sun terrace features tiered seating with artificial grass, and “Linear Fountain” by John Luebtow. The site is directly across the street from and facing the future Oceanwide Center.
