Shaw Alley

535 Mission Street, also known as Shaw Alley, is located between Mission Street and Minna Street and will create a pedestrian connection between Mission and the Salesforce Transit Center with the addition of a mid-block crossing on Mission Street. The POPOS is hardscape and features stationary seating along one side. The site is adjacent to offices, Salt House restaurant, Special Xtra coffee stand, and Harlot Nightclub. This space features a historic brick facade, an eye-catching sculpture by “The Band” by Anton Josef Standteiner, and a colorful light installation “Applique da Parete” by Gordon Huether.
