In this week’s installment of our #instaseries #peopleoftheeastcut, we introduce Rashid, a member of our Street Services and Safety team. As an Ambassador, Rashid provides directions and assistance to local services and acts as “eyes and ear” for the community. When asked what he loves about #theeastcut neighborhood he says, “I like watching the district improve and grow, and being a part of that process.” From June 2016 to March 2017, The East Cut Community Benefit District’s Street Services and Safety team has removed 1,207 instances of graffiti, responded to 1,133 public calls for services, responded to 2,309 calls for homeless outreach assistance and removed 107,612 pounds of trash. To make a service request, visit our Services page, email our dispatch team at dispatch@theeastcut.org or report via phone at 415.543.8223.
