The East Cut Community Benefit District and the San Francisco Planning Department are pleased to announce the opening of our South Downtown Design + Activation (Soda) pop-up outreach space located within the district and plan area. The Soda Studio will temporarily activate a vacant storefront at 160 Spear Street (also accessible at 165 Main Street) kicking off with ‘Ask A Planner’ on Thursday, March 8th from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Combined with The East Cut’s online public participation tool, Soda Studio provides an easy way for residents, visitors, and workers to learn more about improvement projects in the district while also providing needed ideas about the future of the district. The Studio will highlight the existing Rincon Hill Plan, Transit Center District Plan, public feedback, future projects, and upcoming events and information pertaining to Soda. Help shape the future of development of the district by attending the Soda Studio!

About Soda SF
The South Downtown Design + Activation Plan’s (Soda) goal is to develop a comprehensive vision for the design, implementation and stewardship of the public spaces within San Francisco’s South Downtown (composed of the Transbay and Rincon Hill Planning areas), and in doing so, create implementable designs that foster vibrant streets and open spaces, support high performing transit operations, and encourage active transportation choices for the people who live, work and visit the district.
